Introductory Microeconomics
Fall 2002

Welcome to EC155A and B. The objective of this course is that each student learns how microeconomic reasoning can clarify the analysis of individual, group, and societal behavior. Specifically, as you complete this class, I hope that you will have learned how microeconomic reasoning transcends the world of business to be applicable in a wide range of settings. Among the settings that we will study is Addison County, where we will do some group-based analysis for the Middlebury Business Association and the local United Way.

This website, which we will build during the semester, serves three purposes. First, this website includes the material found in a standard syllabus: information about course requirements and readings. Second, the website also includes the an ongoing weekly schedule, which will document current topics, required and recommended readings, course assignments, handouts, and other supporting material. Third, you may always contact me at the coordinates listed on the 'professor' page.

Good luck in this course.
